1Brumbies Run is a rural studio retreat sitting about 15 minutes from Jindabyne, tucked into the Snowy Mountains landscape on a working property. It's a genuinely different kind of stay — quiet, unhurried and surrounded by some of the best mountain views in the region. If you're after something off the beaten track rather than a standard holiday rental, this is worth a serious look.
A Rustic Snowy Mountains Studio with Fireplace and Mountain Views
The studio is open plan and set up with everything you need for a comfortable stay. A queen bed and sofa bed sleep up to four guests, and the space includes a kitchenette, TV and modern bathroom. An indoor fireplace keeps things warm on cold nights, and the outdoor fire pit is a natural gathering point once the sun goes down. The undercover veranda has seating where you can sit and take in the surroundings without any noise or interruption.
Please note this studio is attached to the owner-occupied home. There are no laundry facilities, oven or cooktop on site, and the property is strictly no smoking.
Views Across the Main Range You Won't Find Anywhere Else
From the property you have a clear outlook across the Snowy Mountains main range, taking in Mt Kosciuszko, Northcote, Townsend, Lee, Club Lake, Perisher, Olympic, Guthega, Blue Cow, Crackenback, Jagungal, Snowy Plains and Kalkite. It's the kind of panorama that stops you mid-sentence. Mornings here are particularly good — grab a coffee and sit on the veranda while the light hits the range.
Wildlife, Brumbies and Wide Open Space
The property is home to a resident mob of kangaroos, wombats, deer and echidnas that move through regularly. The Brumbies are the real drawcard though — and Bucky, the king of the mob, has a habit of making himself known. It's the kind of thing you can't plan for and can't really replicate anywhere else in the Snowy Mountains region.

Perfect location to wind down after day at the snow
Jacob T - 18th August 2025The hosts were super friendly on arrival with the accommodation exceeding our expectations… tidy, clean, fireplace fully stocked and unbelievable views across Jindabyne and the snowy mountains
Thanks Jacob, glad you and your kids enjoyed your time, and the host thanks you for staying at Brumbies Run
Very fun
YUAN Z - 21st July 2025It was a really fun experience! The snow was really fun to ski and play around in :D
Delighted to hear you had a good time – thank you!
Just beautiful
Tegan W - 13th July 2025A beautiful location with a cozy place to stay. We loved staying at this property for a quick snow trip at Perisher. The boys also enjoyed riding their bikes around while we took in amazing 360 views of the area.
Thank you for your 5 star review and kind words. Brumbies is a guest favourite and not just a place to sleep however a full experience.
Heaven found
Paul S - 14th September 2024My Husband and l spent 3 nights at Brumbies Run. No snow for our visit but what an amazing place. Steve is extremely welcoming and has lots of knowledge about the area. The accommodation it's self is amazing, not to mention the absolutely stunning location. The cabin has everything you could need. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen is great, nice hot shower but the best part was the log fire with a glass of wine or 2. It was too windy for the fire outside but there is plenty of wood for inside.
Thank you Paul for your 5 star review! What a special location for your trip to Jindabyne, who needs snow when you say at Brumbies Run ;)
Best Studio Ever
William N - 20th July 2024We travel constantly. Experienced the spectrum of quality. This certainly tops it. The studio is cozy, homey, warm and high quality. Steve lives 5m next door and the family is almost always available to provide anything for the room. They even gave us their batch of local eggs when Woolies was out for 3 days. We were warmly greeted from beginning to end. We were also lucky to join Steve on his weekly ethical, meat harvesting trips, which was a great experience for the whole family.
Thank you William and what a great time it sounds like you had here, such a great experience that I'm sure you and your family will remember! We rea so glad to hear this and thank you for your kind review. I hope your son got to enjoy the fire pit outside ;)
Amazing Getaway location.
Dean & - 13th July 2024We stayed for 4 nights, wonderful place to stay. Was greeted upon entry by the owners to insure we found the correct driveway. Truly loved the location and apartment. The accomodation we got from the owners was second to none. Would highly recommend spending some time at this beautiful property.
Thank you for your kind review, we are so glad you got to enjoy this peaceful unique stay and I know the owners have put a lot of effort into making your stay comfortable.
