Mount Kosciuszko and the Main Range
The most popular walk is the Kosciuszko walk from the top of the Crackenback chairlift at Thredbo to Mount Kosciuszko. Where else in the world can you walk to the top of the country's highest mountain? Another popular alternative is sunrise guided walks at Thredbo. Another classic bushwalk starts from Charlotte Pass which is reached via the Kosciusko Road, and takes in the high country around Blue lake and Muellers Pass. There are fabulous views all the way to Victoria. Mountain bikes can use the old summit road; you have to leave the bike at Rawsons Pass to make the final trek on foot.
